Made’s story is a rags to riches one that’s only half over (He is not rich yet). Born in a grass hut on the paddy field his parents fought hard to give him an education and a start in life. Like many young Balinese he worked and saved to buy a car and become a driver for the legions of tourists who come to Bali every year. This is how he met Charlie who had four needs: cigarettes, a mobile phone, a beer and a drinking companion - and that’s how the friendship began all those years ago…
